For a bug, it helps to include your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened (i.e, how many players were in the game, and which round you were on.)
Frequently asked questions
How many players can I track?
Between three and six.
What is the difference between the two game modes?
Game Mode decides which hands the game starts and ends with.
1..8..1 opens with single-card hands, works up to eight, and comes back down.
8..1..8 does the reverse.
Can I save a game and come back to it?
Yes. Save for later stores the game in progress, and Load Game brings it back from the main menu. Only the most recent save is kept, so saving a second game replaces the first.
I typed in the wrong bid or result
Change Bid edits the bids in the current round. To undo a whole round, use Clear Last Round. It discards that round’s bids and results, and you can then enter them again.
How does the bonus work?
A player earns bonus points for winning a set number of consecutive hands, and the same applies in reverse for losing. Single-card hands don’t count toward a streak. Both the streak length and the bonus value are yours to customize when you set up the game.
What happens when every player misses their bid?
The round is replayed, if that option is enabled for the game.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Whist Buddy works fully offline and does not collect any kind of data. See the privacy policy.
